This is one of Everett’s first school buildings and was located on Broadway, south of Hewitt.
It was planned as a one-story building, but Henry Hewitt paid for a second-story. It opened in December, 1891. Soon after, the school was too small for the growing population, and Everett had more schools built. This school housed all grades for nine years, then was sold to the highest bidder for $150.
