Policies for Donations of Artifacts: Inclusion of new artifacts into the Everett Museum of History’s collection is at the Curators’ discretion. A thorough evaluation process is completed for all artifacts that are offered to the museum and the Curators are tasked with making the ultimate decision on all new accessions.
With over 35 years of experience in museum collections, the Curators put each new artifact through a stringent assessment for addition into the museum’s collections. These steps include, but are not limited to:
The Museum and its curatorial staff strive to make the best decisions possible for the acceptance of new artifacts into the museum collection; decisions that benefit the collection, the museum mission, the community we serve, and our role as caretakers of these artifacts for future generations.
Policies for Potential Volunteers: Volunteers are a tremendous resource for the museum and without them we would not be able to do all that we do for the community. We strive to create a great experience for both our volunteers and staff by evaluating each volunteer to properly match their skills and interests with the department which will most benefit from them and vice versa.
